Follow up with employers as needed
Supported Employment Service
Supported Employment Services are appropriate for customers for whom competitive employment has been interrupted or intermittent as a result of a significant barrier and who need intensive supports and extended employment services. The same level of superb employment service will be provided as well as promoting social integration, productivity, and maximum use of a person’s skills and abilities. We assist with building and maintaining extended support services to the worker for present and future employment needs.
On-the-Job Training
Earn While You Learn. On-the-job training is a form of PAID training provided in a real workplace. The customer is able to gain valuable skills and insight on different job fields.
Pre-Placement Training
AVet offers an innovative and engaging in person or virtual training to prepare our customers for real life employment experiences. AVet Pre-Placement Class is a 20-hour program that will guild our customer through an interactive roadmap that will equip the customer with the necessary skills to enter and succeed in the workforce.
Self-Advocacy Training
Self-advocacy training will help our customers recognize their ability to speak and act on behalf of oneself or a cause. Self-advocacy is an important skill that students use in their youth and throughout life. Self-advocacy skills include being assertive, knowing one’s rights, negotiating, and speaking up for oneself or a cause. Training is offered in-person and virtually.
