Calisia Humphries

Executive Director/Employment Specialist

Calisia is an initiative-taking Florida native who finds herself the happiest when she is helping others succeed in life. Calisia served honorably in the US Navy from 2001 to 2008 and ended service as a Post 9/11 disabled veteran. She continued to serve the country for three more years as a civilian in the US Air Force. Her passion to help others guided her to New York State where she was the first female and minority to be appointed to The Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development by the Governor’s office. There she had the privilege to unite disabled veterans with their passion and lifelong career goals.
Calisia has been providing services to individuals with different abilities for several years, including providing employment services through Florida Vocational Rehabilitation. Calisia's dedication and “we can do it” attitude is contagious. Her ability to relate to clients, employers, and support personnel is refreshing. She truly understands what it is like to walk in her client’s shoes. Calisia is committed to building meaningful connections with her clients which will empower them to find their purpose in the workforce.
